Founded in 1943, Verdad y vida (ISSN 0042-3718) is a biannual academic journal published by the Hispanic-Portuguese Conference of OFM Provincial Ministers. The journal publishes original research and scholarly studies in the fields of theology, philosophy, and spirituality, with particular emphasis on Franciscan thought and its historical, intellectual, and spiritual heritage.

Verdad y vida is committed to promoting rigorous academic research and scholarly dialogue within its areas of specialization. The journal welcomes contributions that engage critically with relevant sources, methodologies, and current scholarly debates, while fostering interdisciplinary approaches to the study of theology, philosophy, spirituality, and Franciscanism.
